Who am I and why should you listen to me?
I came into the entrepreneurial world after realizing that working for someone else was not going to give me the lifestyle I wanted. After looking at all the options, I realized that I would have to have my own business. It’s not an easy thing to just jump into a business and I had many struggles with marketing and mindset. As you may know, most people are not born successful entrepreneurs. It’s an endeavor that has to be learned. I have almost six years experience of what not to do. I finally found the right people with the right mindset and the right skills. Now, I can help you to gain that knowledge and help you to put it into action.
What’s your idea of money?
I grew up in a single parent family, my parents having been divorced when I was young. Times were tough for a while. There were periods where we just had toast and tea for breakfast and lunch several days in a row. Diner was dried beef and gravy, over and over again. (the military has an appropriate term for this dish). So, out of that, I developed certain ideas about money, security and lifestyle.
I thought, as many others did, that a good job would give me the money that I wanted with the security I needed. I chose a technical career out of high school but, after a while, I saw that that didn’t afford me the means to travel, to have a decent home, car or any of the things that go with a comfortable life. I had to make choices and triage my wants and desires. I was disillusioned with a “good” job.
There has to be another way?
Looking for another way to get ahead, I found network marketing. Here was a way to start a business, out of my home, without all the costs and paperwork involved. I tried that and failed badly mostly due to lack of skills and limiting beliefs, the two main things that cause most people to fail in any business.
Well, I gave up on my dreams of living a big lifestyle and pursued other interests for almost 30 years. When I decided to do network marketing again, there were two problems. That’s right, lack of skills and limiting beliefs. They didn’t go away. They were still there and I struggled for a few years again but I didn’t give up this time. I sought out how to learn the skills for business and how to work on changing my mindset. I can show you how to do the same thing.
The One crucial part of that was to get a mentor, a coach to help me grow as a person and grow my business. That’s what the really successful people do, weather in business, sports or academia. Serious people have a mentor, or a coach.
I went through a lot of struggling with marketing, with mindset and I want to help others to avoid a lot of trouble and frustration that I went through. The internet provides a powerful vehicle for getting much of what you want to get out of life. Here you will find a lot of tools and resources to use the internet to build almost any business.
